David Zimmerman - Pastor

MY TESTIMONY OF SALVATION

I received Christ as my Savior at the age of 13. ADavid Zimmerman - Pastor bus captain from Eastern Ave Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma invited me to ride his bus to Sunday School. After attending several weeks, I understood that I was a sinner and that Christ had died on the cross to pay for all my sin. I also understood that there was nothing I could do to earn eternal life or in any way aid Christ in His work of salvation. As a result, one Sunday morning I responded to the invitation and believed in Jesus Christ as my Savior.
I am extremely grateful for the ministry of a church that presented the Gospel clearly. Salvation was not mixed with service, neither were any conditions of salvation presented other than simple faith in Christ's death for me upon the cross. From the moment I trusted Christ, I understood that I was not saved by works or kept saved by works. Neither did the presence of works prove the genuineness of my salvation. I had done what the Scripture required by believing the Gospel and trusting Christ, and that was all the assurance I needed.

If you are not 100% sure that you will go to heaven when you die, why not see what the Bible has to say about God's gift of eternal life.

MY CALL TO CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

As a teenager attending youth camp, I had made a decision to dedicate my life to the Lord, giving Him permission to use my life to fulfill His purpose in me. After that, God used me in many ways to serve in my local church. I had the joy of building a bus route, directing a youth ministry, working in Vacation Bible School - just doing whatever I could to serve the Lord.

In 1983, I knew that God was directing me into full time ministry. After seeking the Lord’s will concerning a college, I enrolled in Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, where I completed my college education. While there, I sensed the Lord’s leadership in directing me to the mission field. At that time, I believed that I would be a "career" missionary. My family later served as missionaries to Ghana, Africa, for four years. Since then, I have learned that God used my brief time in Ghana to develop and strengthen my commitment to the Great Commission.

Since January, 1999, I have been the pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Sapulpa, OK.

Terry Hickman - Associate Pastor

MY TESTIMONY OF SALVATION

I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior as a senior in high school. I believed myself to be a "very good young man". I didn't drink, smoke or cuss or run with those who did.  I had been raised going to church from the time I was six weeks old. I grew up to be faithful to my church, my youth group and to even be involved in different ministries.  But there was something missing in my life.  The Holy Spirit would often prick my heart about my need for salvation, but I would never respond.  But then in December of 1980, as my Youth Pastor preached, I realized all my works were as "filthy rags" in the eyes of a Holy God. That evening, I responded to the alter call and put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Trusting Him as the only way to Heaven.
We all believe ourselves to be "pretty good people", but all the good we do will not get us even close to Heaven.  The work has all ready been done! All we need to do is trust in Jesus, who did the work for us on Calvary.  "It is finished"  and all we need to do is believe. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31

MY CALL TO CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

The Lord blessed me greatly when he saved me.  My desire from that time forward was to serve Him. To my amazement, He called a shy young man into full-time ministry.  I graduated in 1994 from the Norris Bible Baptist Institute in Fort Worth, Texas.  My family and I served at Bethel Baptist Church in Grapevine, Texas for six years where I worked as the Youth Pastor, helping young men and ladies discover God's destiny for their lives.  In August of 2001 the Lord moved me and my wife Kimberly, my daughter Madison, and my son Noah to Sapulpa, Oklahoma where I began to serve as the Associate Pastor for Bible Baptist Church.  Since our arrival in Oklahoma, the Lord has blessed us with another son, Andy and together as a family we are serving till he comes "for Christ's sake".
Bible Baptist Church is a family oriented church where Christ is the center of all our worship.  My prayer is that you are serving where God would have you to serve.  But if you are still searching for a place to call home, come see us a Bible Baptist Church where we are striving to build "faith, families, and friends".
